Loggos Suited the Version of Paxos I Wanted to Linger In

Loggos suited me most when I wanted a slower trip. I would rather find a favourite waterfront restaurant and return several times than have dozens of different choices every evening.

Lakka would be my first choice for a beach-based stay in Paxos. Easy access to swimming and the northern coastline means I can build much more of the holiday around the water without repeatedly crossing the island.

Harami Beach is within easy reach of the village. Kanoni offers clear water for swimming and snorkelling. Coastal paths open up more possibilities if you are willing to walk beyond the nearest obvious beach.

I Would Not Need to Cross the Island Every Time I Wanted a Swim

The advantage for me was not simply having one good beach nearby. I could base much more of the holiday around swimming, snorkelling and exploring the northern coastline. I would not need to cross the island every time I wanted to reach the water.

Without a car, I would stay in Gaios. Its ferry connections, shops, restaurants and harbour services make everyday travel simpler, while more of what I need is within walking distance.

Its main advantage is convenience. Ferries arrive in Gaios, shops and restaurants are concentrated around the harbour, and many everyday needs can be handled on foot.

I Could Do More of the Everyday Stuff on Foot
